To add to existing knowledge of health-related issues in the Chinese community, Chinese Community Health Resource Center partners with local and national health organizations to launch research projects specifically targeting Chinese immigrants in the San Francisco Bay Area. Innovative Faith-Based Education on Advance Directives in Asian American Communities (NIH-R21) Chinese Community Health Resource Center & Vietnamese Community Health Promotion Project at University of California, San Francisco To increase awareness and completion of Advance Directives within Asian American faith-based communities.
The Chinese Community Internet Stop Smoking Project (TRDRP) Chinese Community Health Resource Center & UCSF Internet World Health Resource Center The primary mission is to establish accessible, evidence-based, and sustainable self-help resources via the Internet to promote smoking cessation among Chinese Americans.
A Family Intervention To Reduce Smoking in Chinese Men Chinese Community Health Resource Center & Vietnamese Community Health Promotion Project at University of California, San Francisco To develop and pilot test a family intervention using lay health worker (LHW) outreach to involve both smokers’ families and smokers to promote smoking cessation in Chinese American men
Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness, Research and Training (AANCART) AANCART’s focus is on reducing the unique, unusual, and unnecessary cancer burden affecting Asian Americans.
