Health Education at the Chinese Community Health Resource comes in the following format: Disease Management, General Health Classes, Perinatal Health Program, and Individual Counseling. Disease management entails educating patients and their caretakers basics on managing their conditions and reducing complications. General health classes are offered to the public weekly on health topics such as diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, stress management, and osteoporosis. Perinatal Health Program are available to expecting parents who wish to prepare themselves for one of the most challenging phases of their lives – parenting. Individual counseling includes one-on-one sessions with a registered dietitian, American Lung Association certified smoking cessation counselor, or health educator specialized in asthma education.
