Individual counseling is available for nutrition (requires a referral from a member physician of the Chinese Community Health Care Association), smoking cessation, and asthma management. A registered dietitian counsels patients to take control of their medical conditions through medical nutrition therapy. An American Lung Association certified counselor guides clients to quit smoking following the Freedom from Smoking Program. Patients with asthma and their family can meet with a health educator to discuss ways to successfully manage their disease.
