One of the ways Chinese Community Health Resource Center (CCHRC) fulfills its mission to build a healthy community through culturally and linguistically competent preventive health is by offering annual Health Days. Beginning in 1999, CCHRC has been hosting one Health Day per year varying from Women’s Health Day, to Men’s Health Day, to the Chinese Community Fitness Day. These health events are collaborative project designed for monolingual and bilingual Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking individuals residing in San Francisco with an emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion.
